Desktop app
ConsentIQ for Windows
The same ConsentIQ, in its own window. It does not have a verified publisher yet, so Windows will warn you the first time you run it. This page says exactly what that warning is and what to click.
Before you download
Windows will warn you about this app
Why the warning appears
It is not a virus. Windows warns about any app from a publisher it has not verified.
What you will see
A blue box headed “Windows protected your PC”, saying “Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognised app from starting”. The only button on it is Don’t run.
What to click
- Click More info. It is the small link in the body of the box, above the button, and it is easy to miss.
- Check the line that appears reads Publisher: Unknown publisher and the app name is ConsentIQ. If it names anything else, stop: you are not looking at this file.
- Click Run anyway.
Why we are asking you to do that
To sign an app, you need a certificate, and only a registered company can get one. ConsentIQ is not a registered company yet. We would rather tell you exactly what the warning says than let it surprise you. When the certificate is in place the warning stops, and nothing about the app changes.
If your practice’s IT rules say not to install unsigned apps, that is a sensible rule, and this app does not meet it. ConsentIQ works in a web browser with the same features, so you do not need this app.
The file
Download it when you are ready
There is no installer to download yet
The Windows app exists, but it is not on this site yet, so there is no download link.
System requirements
Windows 10 version 1803 or later, or Windows 11, on a 64-bit (x64) PC. It does not run on Windows on ARM. If the PC does not already have Microsoft WebView2 (a part of Windows the app needs), the installer downloads it, so it needs an internet connection while it installs.
On a Mac? ConsentIQ for macOS has its own page, because macOS blocks the app in a different way.
